ABOUT PCIET
The Purna Chandra Institute of Engineering & Technology(PCIET) Chhendipada, Angul is a reputed self-financing technical institution of the state established in the year 2009 by P.C.I.E.T trust duely registered by the Govt. of Odisha under Indian Trust Act, 1882 with a aims at promoting excellence and innovation in technical education and development of advance technology skill relevant to the country and the region. The institute is approved by A.I.C.T.E. from the academic session 2009-10 is recognized by Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to S.C.T.E V.T, Orissa.
This locality is surrounded by mega industries like Jindal Steel & Power, Bhushan Steel & Power, Monnet Steel & Power, RSP, NALCO, NTPC, TTPS, Nava Bharat Ventures Ltd. Etc. and various coal and metalliferous mines like MCL, OMC etc. Also many more ancillary industries in small & medium sectors are proposed to be established in the vicinity of the mega projects in this locality. To meet the growing demand for skilled manpower in existing and emerging industries and mines across the state and region, our institution offers 3-year Diploma Engineering programs in five branches: Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mining Engineering. All courses are approved by A.I.C.T.E.

ABOUT PCIET LIBRARY
The Institute Library was established in 2009 in the Institute main building of the Institute comprising of one Stock room, one Reading halls, Periodical Section, Technical Section, Circulation Counter, Internet Browsing service, Reprography service etc. Since It is located at the main building of the institute it is easily accessible to all users. The Library functions from 08:30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. on all working days and it also opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
The library is fully automated using KOHA- open source ILMS (Integrated Library Management System). The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is provided for easy searching, access and retrieval of library documents.

LIBRARY COLLECTION
The collection of the library consists of more than 11482+ documents on various disciplines. The main collection is in the field of Engineering, which includes, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Management and English Literature, etc. The collection comprises of Books, Encyclopaedias, Dictionaries, Atlases, Maps, Back Volumes of Journals, Annual Reports, Yearbooks, , Educational Surveys, Reports, etc. The library is subscribing to several national journals print format. It also provides access to important e-resources.
